Solve has promoted Neil James to Senior Digital Strategist and Rebecca Underwood to Digital Planner. Having joined the agency in 2013, James’ thought-leadership and insight have helped Solve drive more effective and creative work on behalf of clients. In his new position, he’ll have the ability to impact additional Solve brands. Founders To Open Taproom In Detroit

Brand Toasts City With First Pitch At Tigers Game
 
After 20 years of cultivating a must-visit destination with its taproom in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Solve client Founders Brewing is bringing its world-class beer and taproom experience to the city of Detroit. A small team, including Co-Founders Dave Engbers and Mike Stevens, were in Detroit earlier this week to make the announcement. And to cap off the deal, Dave was tapped to throw out the first pitch at the Tigers game that night. Well done Dave, and congrats to all of our friends at Founders on this exciting milestone!

For the fourth season in a row, Solve is encouraging Detroiters to ditch work for the Tigers home opener. The Mercury Bar, one of Detroit’s most beloved bars, is again reaching out to its loyal fanbase via social media with #OpeningDayExcuses. Providing creative excuses to skip work, The Merc is encouraging Tiger fans to attend the April 7 home opener against the Boston Red Sox. As they do each year, the Mercury Bar will once again feature opening day festivities all day long.

Founders Claims Title Of America’s Best Craft Brewery

Solve Congratulates Client Founders On Edging Wicked Weed Brewing In USA Today Bracket Madness

Coinciding with college basketball’s March Madness, USA Today created a craft brewery bracket inviting readers to vote for their favorite. The bracket began with 32 craft breweries, all seeded by USA Today sportswriter Chris Korman. Founders began as the number 1 seed in the Tap Station 2 region and overcame Lawson’s Finest, Dogfish Head, Cigar City and Russian River on the way to the final. Nearly 22,000 votes were cast in the final round with Founders garnering 52.01% of the votes. Cheers to our friends at Founders!

Now two of those kitchen faucets – the Beale and the Edgewater – have been awarded GOOD DESIGN Awards, the world’s oldest and most prestigious design award. Presented by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, GOOD DESIGN Awards recognize the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product, and graphic designs produced around the world. Both products were featured in Solve’s “The Life Of Your Faucet” campaign, the largest faucet campaign in American Standard’s history.

Agency’s “The Blank Video Project” Honored Among Best From Around World

Solve was recognized in the 2016 Communication Arts Advertising Annual. The Communication Arts Awards honor the best in visual communications and recognize the finest talent in the industry. The agency’s award was for its “The Blank Video Project,” a provocative idea that challenged and dispelled the industry’s preoccupation with video view counts as a false measure of creative effectiveness. The project has been widely covered by international media including Fast Company and Adweek.

The Communication Arts Advertising Competition is among the most prestigious competitions for creativity in advertising. Work is judged by a select group of jurors made up of leading creative directors, art directors and writers.
