Prior to founding Solve, John spent 15 years at Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, most recently as CEO. He helped lead the company from a regional, traditional agency into a branding powerhouse, recognized by Graphis as “one of the world’s top ten creative agencies” and consistently rating among the industry’s “best places to work.”
John has extensive experience centering iconic, global brands and building passionate, loyal followings. During career stops in Boston, Chicago and Detroit, he has worked at agencies including Hal Riney & Partners, NW Ayer and DMB&B. John is a sought-after branding spokesperson, giving keynote presentations at AAF, AAAA, ADWEEK and New York Times industry events.
