Overview

Solve is seeking a Social Media Strategist to lead the development and execution of impactful social strategies in partnership with client and broader agency teams. The ideal candidate has demonstrated success in translating marketing objectives into strategic social initiatives and overseeing internal and external content creators. They will understand and be able to operate across all facets of social media marketing including community management, influencer marketing, tone of voice and paid promotion. Candidate will have five-plus years of relevant experience and thrive in a creative, fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Some of the things you'll do

The Social Media Strategist will develop ongoing and campaign-specific social media strategies, supervise content production and publishing workflow (pitching in as necessary), and lead execution, reporting and optimization.

Specific duties include:

  • Serve as primary contact and build strong relationships with client social teams
  • Collaborate with writers, designers, strategists and account leads to align on marketing priorities and social media needs while ensuring brand consistency along the way
  • Build frameworks and processes that govern the creation and publishing of effective social content in service of awareness and perceptual shift goals
  • Make strategic recommendations regarding tone of voice, brand personality in the social space, influencer partnerships, PR integrations, social listening and paid promotion
  • Lead the creation of editorial calendars and syndication schedules
  • Draft briefs for internal and external content creators that are clear, inspiring and effective
  • Regularly report on results and identify opportunities for improving effectiveness
  • Develop strategies for real-time content creation and processes that facilitate it
  • Manage and assist with the community management function — you set the tone for the brand’s identity, and our Community Manager will execute it
  • Pitch in and get hands dirty with day-to-day social work when necessary
  • Continually update social guidelines, processes and best practices for all platforms, including emerging trends and technologies, and communicate this knowledge clearly and concisely to both agency and clients
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated success at strategically planning, creating content and maintaining social profiles for major brand(s) that are well respected in the social space
  • Hands-on experience with influencer marketing, community management and paid promotion
  • Strong understanding of reporting metrics, agency/client workflow and publishing tools
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and provide white-glove level service to high-profile clients in potentially urgent situations
  • Understands where and how social media fits into brand initiatives and integrated campaigns
  • Excellent writing, editing, storytelling, and presentation skills that reflect a strong sense of who your audience is and how to fulfill their needs
  • Analytical thinker with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • General, high-level knowledge of other digital marketing disciplines including SEO, e-mail marketing, content marketing and web design
  • BS degree in marketing or relevant field
  • Experience in Public Relations is a strong plus
  • Knowledge of content management systems (like WordPress), Google Analytics, basic image and video editing and HTML a plus
