With brands bending over backwards to incorporate NFTs and the Metaverse into their marketing strategy, Solve fielded a survey of US internet users to determine whether consumers care about these technologies and discovered the following:

  • Only 4% of internet users identified NFTs or The Metaverse as interesting or exciting
  • Among those familiar with them, more than one-third hold an unfavorable view towards NFTs and The Metaverse
  • NFTs and The Metaverse were disproportionately associated with negative concepts like "pointless," "wasteful" and "smoke and mirrors"
