John Colasanti

In addition to leading the agency, John directs brand positioning and strategy development for each of Solve’s clients. Prior to founding Solve, John spent 15 years at Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, most recently as CEO. He helped lead the company from a regional, traditional agency into a branding powerhouse, recognized by Graphis as “one of the world’s top ten creative agencies” and consistently rating among the industry’s “best places to work.” John has extensive experience centering iconic, global brands and building passionate, loyal followings. During career stops in Boston, Chicago and Detroit, he has worked at agencies including Hal Riney & Partners, NW Ayer and DMB&B. John is a sought-after branding spokesperson, giving keynote presentations at AAF, AAAA, ADWEEK and New York Times industry events.

Hans Hansen

Managing Creative Director
As Managing Creative Director, Hans brings a compelling, potent look and feel to each of our clients’ brands. Prior to founding Solve, Hans held creative leadership positions at Fallon Worldwide and Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis. A fresh design perspective, uncompromising visual standard, and fluency across media have enabled Hans to bring power and clarity to a roster of premier global brands. A native of Hamburg, Germany, Hans worked at agencies in Europe before moving to America in 1994. His craftsmanship and ideas have received broad accolades from the advertising community, including Cannes, The One Show and Communication Arts.

Corey Johnson

After nearly 20 years developing go-to-market plans and strategic media programs for a long list of world-class passion brands, Corey, and three longtime colleagues founded Solve. Today, Corey leads all media planning and target audience development for clients at Solve across digital, social and traditional channels. Prior to founding Solve, Corey worked for 10 years at Carmichael Lynch where he was Director of Consumer Engagement and a Senior Partner. In addition to building one of the industry’s most inventive media teams, which tripled in size under his leadership, Corey added the critical core competencies of target development, media research and performance analytics. This set his group at the forefront of thought leadership on effective marketing and helped agency clients win 10 EFFIEs during his 10 years at the agency.

Eric Sorensen

Managing Creative Director
As Managing Creative Director, Eric gives a unique and resonant voice to each of our clients’ brands. His ability to capture and articulate a brand’s spirit has contributed to the success of some of the world’s greatest companies. During his nearly 20-year career, he has continually created powerful work across a broad range of categories. Before founding Solve, Eric worked as Creative Director at Fallon Worldwide and Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis. In addition to striking a chord with his clients’ audiences, Eric’s multi-platform creative output has been recognized and celebrated by a stable of industry awards, including Cannes, The One Show and Communication Arts.

Kara Brower

As Director of Project Management at Solve, Kara has assembled a deep, experienced project management team. She’s implemented a state-of-the-art workflow system and process to handle the agency’s ever expanding and rapidly growing workload. Kara has over fifteen years of project management experience spanning advertising agency, design and interactive firms – large and small. She has a wealth of experience from working with enterprise-level rebranding projects to commerce-driven websites with significant backend technology integration. Prior to joining Solve, Kara has worked with clients across varied complex and demanding industries including Harley-Davidson, Porsche, Aveda and Benjamin Moore.

Ryan Murray

As Director of Account Management, Ryan is responsible for leading Solve’s Account Management team, including training, mentoring, staff modeling, recruiting and ensuring overall contribution to client success. Since joining Solve in 2013, Ryan has contributed significantly to the agency’s success, from running key accounts, to playing a key role in new business efforts, to leading the firm’s widely-recognized annual intern program. Ryan’s a graduate of the 4A’s Executive Leadership Program, for fast-rising talent. Prior to Solve, Ryan worked at Fallon Minneapolis on The Cosmopolitan Hotel, Cruzan Rum and Nestle Purina. Before entering the agency world, Ryan began his career in the film industry in Los Angeles.

Roman Paluta

Responsible for business development at Solve, Roman works at building the reputation, roster and global reach of the agency that’s twice been named AdAge Small Agency of the Year. Before joining Solve, Roman was President of Nebraska-based Bailey Lauerman. He helped the creative boutique establish a national reputation and architected its strongest period of revenue growth. Roman launched his career at Leo Burnett in Chicago before making his way north to Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis. He served as Director of Account Management and later CMO during that agency’s decade of greatest growth.

Sean Smith

Sean helps lead the agency’s creative department and oversees work for a handful of clients. His experience, ambition and contagious energy inspire everyone Sean works with to push convention and stretch the confines of creativity. Before Solve, Sean worked in New York, Boulder and LA at some of the industry’s most recognized agencies, including Crispin Porter + Bogusky, 180, Mullen and Merkley. He’s developed powerful, imaginative campaigns for Domino’s, Coke Zero, Under Armour, Cuervo, Samsung, RockShox, VW and Acura. Sean’s ideas have driven significant results for his clients and received broad recognition from Cannes, The One Show, FWA, Contagious, Communication Arts, Creativity and Fast Company.
